BangTheLinks New Owner

Hi wonderful members!

This is a sad day for me, and I'm sorry it has come to this, but it has to be done. As most of you may have come aware in recent weeks, is my lack of commitment to the site. This is a direct result of a new job I started and the hours I must work. Between this and a battle I've had with PayPal, it's a headache I can do without. On top of this, and you all know my recent private problems with my mother's health. It's just too much to handle any longer.

So, I started searching for an alternate owner, someone that I can trust and above all, you can trust. And I think I have found that person. She is very well known, and runs a couple of sites already very successfully. I'll let her introduce herself to you very soon...

I am leaving the site to her. I am not selling it. I have paid for hosting and sent the new owner some "starter cash" to help her through any immediate expenses. I will also be around if she needs me for anything at all.

Again, I stress how totally upset I am with the decision I've had to make. It is really disheartening for me after building up BTL over the past 3 and a half years. But, I need to remove myself from the "online" world and concentrate on the "real" world for a while. I'm sure there will be those that will be upset with this decision, and may even quit the site over it, but I stress you do not, as I am 100% positive the new owner will run it as good as, if not better than I have :)

Good luck everyone, this will be the last communication I have with you all. If you need to talk about anything outside of BTL, you can email me at tabathagreene@yahoo.com.au

Thank you all, love you always!
Tabatha

Ok - so who is it??

Ok, got an answer...

Well, I guess I'll take this opportunity to introduce myself.

My name is Sherise and I own School Bus Of Cash and Princess Mails (and now BTL).

I have a partner who will be running this site with me. She owns 4 sites of her own. I will have her introduce herself later. We are in different time zones so she is likely still sleeping.

I don't plan any major changes. I've been a member of this site for some time now and think it runs pretty well the way it is.

The only change that I do NEED to make immediately is that Liberty Reserve is no longer going to be used at this site. I don't use it. I will pay using paypal and alertpay and accept same as payment.

Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions and I'll be happy to answer them as quickly as possible.

Thank you,

Sherise

Good grief, yet another one that doesn't have the decency to inform members and paying them in full before handing the site over to someone else.
Darn I expected better from Tabatha than this. Why is it that these PO's always have their mouth full about doing things the right way but when it concerns themselves, they can't be bothered? I'm at the stage that I can only say goodbye and good riddance anymore.
And I'm honestly considering removing bangthelinks from my approved list too.

She gave it to Sherise for free plus some starter money - this is the way I get it, at least.

i wish i would have been here 8.5 hours ago so i could have beat you to the punchline. i favor the idea of taking sites who do that off the approval list of ptp sites, maybe po's who are looking to buy or sell program would slow the process down to make sure it is done the right way. i have just cancel my membership with btl. i only wish i would have done it while tabatha still own it. if tabatha ever come back and start a site again i will not join it.

So irrelevant.  Even if I thought sherise was the best PO on the face of the earth (which I don't, she has made numerous missteps since starting her programs) it is NOT okay to sell, buy, give away, hand off programs without prior notice to members.  PERIOD.

On the bolded part: I think it's a great idea BUT first we need an agreement on what is an acceptable way to sell/give away a site and THEN it should be added in TOS that any site sold/given away without following that acceptable way will come out of the ptp approved list and will be banned from advertising.  If a good amount of POs do this then it will have an impact.

Personally I think an announcement, with the name of the new owner, 1 week before the actual transfer AND an offer to pay (with no minimum) and then delete anyone who don't want to remain a member with the new owner is an acceptable way of selling a site. Of course paying everyone before selling the site is still the best way to go.  :)

My upgrade expires in July (at BTL) so less than 2 more months, request payment, get paid hopefully quickly,  and then I'm outta there.  Was planning on leaving anyway but this just makes my decision seem even wiser.

Excellent idea!  Is one week long enough for an announcement?

Yes, one week IMO is fair enough.  Instead of using the term week, I personally prefer "7 days" because some consider a week from Monday-Sunday and some from Sunday-Saturday or something like that.  I remember we encountered this problem with the advertising/ promotion rules over at GPF.  Some members argued that they don't consider "a week" the same way we did.  So we mentioned 7 days instead  :duh: :duh: :duh: :duh:

I am curious as to whom her partner is.  :hmm2:

Not only was the site given to Sherise without notification to the members, now there is somelse that has access to all  members info.

This selling, giving away, buying back is getting old real fast.

Where the hell is the stability in this industry.  :ticked:
