Chitika account deactivated
« on: June 22, 2009, 07:52:12 PM »
Chitika has always been a good ad network imo, but a few days ago all their ads on my sites turned blank. It was just before the weekend, so couldn't get in contact with the support. I didn't mind changing the ad codes since I had nothing but good experiences. Now support finally replied:

Hi Rick,

The reason you are unable to see the Chitika ads on your site is because your account has been deactivated. Account deactivation doesn't mean that you had committed any particular fraud; we are not able to support your account and our merchant partners are not willing to pay for the traffic coming from your account.

We cannot support and maintain account with traffic that is not accepted by our merchant partners.

Best Regards,
Daniel
Chitika Customer Service
Really 'annoying', I didn't do anything against their terms and they blocked me without a notification. I even had over 50% US visitors :hmm2:

They still owe me $300, wonder what will happen with that. :hmm2:

Bummer.

Thanks, I guess it helped! :D

Reply took quite a while but:

You will be paid for any traffic our advertisers will be willing to pay for up until the time of account deactivation.

Sounds complicated but I guess that means I do get payed.

FYI, got another message from someone else from the Chitika staff who said I did commit click fraud and decided not to pay me.

Asked several times politely why, but my messages are ignored.

Great support.
