How To Take Screenshots
« on: September 10, 2008, 11:21:06 AM »
This is a small tutorial on how to take a screenshot.

1.  First, you need to open the page/ area you need to take the screenshot of.

2.  In your keyboard, you will find a key called PRINT SCRN.  When you have the page/ area you wish to take the screen shot open, just press the PRINT SCRN key.

3.  When you press the PRINT SCRN key, you will not see anything hapenning, but don't worry.  Now go to paint, photoshop or any editing program and paste it.  You can go to EDIT -> PASTE or press the CONTROL + V keys together.

4.  The entire area you copied will get pasted in the document.  With the select/ crop tool, you can select/ crop the area you want.

5.  Save the document as a jpg in your computer.  Then go to a hosting site (you can use a free one such as imageshack.us, tinypic.com, photobucket.com and upload the screenshot you saved as a jpg.

6.  When the screenshot is uploaded, you will be given the URL to the image.  Copy and paste it to your brower if you wish to see it before you post it.

Note: This is generally how a screenshot is taken.  Even though it may not work like this in all computers, it should do so in most.

If you need any clarifications on this little tutorial, please let me know.
