Problem with Galaxy links??
« on: October 08, 2009, 08:29:33 AM »

I joined GalaxyMails not too long ago and have constantly had problems.

One of three things  happen when I click the links.

1..I get an error message.
Error!

Invalid paid mail ID.
Sponsor not found.

2. The advertised site opens but the top area where the timer etc. would be shows ONLY the background for Galaxy..NOTHING else.

3...Very rarely I get to the advertised site AND get credit.

Is anyone else having problems with this site.

I am also having a problem with Cathouse PTP.
My stats show between 20 - 31 invalid clicks a day listed under "cathouse". I asked what was going on and was told these hits came from MY IP. At the time I had been refreshing on Galaxy trying to get it to credit so we thought it could somehow be due to that but it is still happening . t was due to "refreshing"  it would have stopped after that day....it hasnt.

Any ideas???

I am ready to tear my hair out and have been told I am the only one having these problems...If that is true then I have no idea what is causing it.

I have the very same problems at both programs, just didn't have the time to write that support  mail.
As far as I know, there have always been some problems of that kind with the cathouse ptp. ( for example I had tons of hits from cathouse at polarPTR although I never bought that many hits. Needless to say they all were invalid, too. Today for example I had Tier 1 and 8 Tier 2 hits from cathouse to cathouse.)

For the problem with galaxy, if you are able to move the frame of the timer bar you will see the error message. Maybe this chaos in the mails is caused by the server move?

I've always had problem with the ptp at cathouse, galaxy, misty & sams,  and reliable

http://www.globalfriendsonline.com/index.php/topic,4948.0.html

Haven't clicked there today yet or even this week I think.  Too busy trying to get that stinkin' storage locker cleaned out and then even busier unpacking boxes.  I need about 3 clones   :haha: :ROFL2: but they probably would have gone on strike anyway.

As for the "not found" messages at Galaxy, are these mostly search emails? There was a bunch of search emails ran by Erwin, Darlene's assistant. They all worked when Darlene had the site but started being "not found" soon after Carole took over. My guess is that perhaps Carole deleted Erwin's ads from the ad database (or maybe Erwin himself did, or Darlene), but they are still in the mailer. Looks like the mailer needs a major cleanup. ::)

Thanks every1.

Triskell.I am not sure about the others but I just did one now and yes, it was a search ad. The same message came up.

I have clicked about 5 other links and they have all credited properly. This is the first time since i joined where most credit properly. ( only one error message and no "galaxy background" )

I hope it continues as its frustrating to keep messing with it.

Thanks "I am annoyed" for that link. I guess I'm not the only one getting that aye?

I realize they are trying to fix it but I wonder how many will end up suspended  in the meantime.

I haven't bothered to send in any more ads as the results are just too screwed up.

WHOA Now fellow Alien! Your space shuttle flight will be taking off shortly! You just have to wait for the countdown to finish!!

I have NOT clicked at Galaxy all week, I have ONE Galaxy PTC open.

And this is also the page you would have been getting Belle.  I pulled down the timer frame with my mouse to see what is going on.

I am in the process of contacting Carole and will let ya'lll see if she does anything about this issue.

funny but I haven't clicked at Galaxy ALL WEEK.....real life getting in the way....AND I click one PTC tonight and thats the message I get.

Its a little hard to meet the click requirement at a site when the timer won't load and when the site says I am multi-clicking when I haven't clicked at Galaxy all week.

Its even hard to stay active (one click every 30 days)--much less do the clicks required for using ptp--"PTP Activity Requirements: You will still be required to be an active member. This means you will be required to click at least fifty (50) paid ads in any 30 day period" when the timer will not load

And I haven't even logged into Galaxy for at least a week, during which time I have cleaned cookies and cache repeatedly.

This is an issue on your end. And it isn't just happening to me http://www.globalfriendsonline.com/index.php/topic,6562.0.html

All of the links that start with galaxymails.com take me to the page with the "WHOA Now fellow Alien! Your space shuttle flight will be taking off shortly! You just have to wait for the countdown to finish!!" message.

The only links that are working correctly for me start with runner.galaxymails.com.  Without it, I either get the Not Found message or the Clicked Too Soon message.

I was confused, too, because I also haven't clicked at Galaxy in nearly a week.  I was also getting it for PTC ads last weekend when I was clicking, but I'm not today.

The double runner lnks are typical for go-mama hosting. When I moved away from them I had to add a redirect to make sure that existing links with the double runner bit would still credit. Not sure if it works the other way around too, the alternative is that all emails of before the move to their server need to set up new.

I have another question/problem concerning Cathouse and Galaxy. Do any of you who are upgraded get your rotator views processed? All the upgrade ads I submitted a few days ago, were processed within hours, except the rotator views. I don't think the ones I submitted at Cathouse just before the end of last month have ever been processed, either, unless they so quickly expired and got deleted.

I remember that I had the same problem when Darlene took over the sites. When I wrote to her, she said she never got my ads. I found out then that rotator views can be set up in a few different ways, at some sites the ad requests show up in the ad manager, at others they only come to an email address. I think the latter was the case at Cathouse and Galaxy. Obviously, Darlene did find where to look for them, because after that first month mine did get processed.

Anyway, if I'm thinking right and Carole doesn't see our rotator views requests (I'm not talking about redemptions or purchases, just about the 1000 views ad that's part of the upgrade package), then she needs to be notified about the problem. But I first wanted to confirm with other upgraded members whether they too are having this problem.

I cannot begin to tell you how much I literally HATE clicking email links from Cathouse and Galaxy.  I hate it worse than I hate using site inbox, and that's going some

9 out of 10 emails from both are either coming from the old server (Hostigation I think) or were deleted by Carole when she took over the sites.

Considering it has been close to a month since Carole took over these two sites the emails from the old server at Hostigation should have stopped by now (if that is the issue)

And if Carole actually deleted these emails why do they keep coming day in and day out?

Why can't Carole, Go-Mama, and Hostigation get their act together and get these old emails stopped?

I hear you there. I almost totally stopped clicking emails from these sites, I just delete them from my mailbox and pass to mail from sites where it will actually credit. ::)

It looks like the sites seem to be pointed to both hosts at the registrar.  I looked up a couple of the newly transferred sites and they appear on one of Go-Mama's IPs, but also are still showing on a different IP from Hostigation that has some of Darlene's sites on it.  The files/database are probably still running as normal over there. Removing any reference to Hostigation from the registrar and keeping only the Go-Mama info should also fix the issue.  Deleting the files/database at Hostigation should do the trick, too.

I've been sticking to the on site PTCs to get enough clicks at the sites for a free upgrade this month.  I usually rely on e-mails to hit the activity requirements, but I'm not going to get 500 clicks (for the 1 month upgrade) from a couple of valid e-mails a day.

I'm upgraded at both already.  But its hard to even hit the 50 per month requirement for promoting ptp from a couple of valid e-mails per day

And even if it weren't difficult.....its a waste of MY time and MY email space at gmail and MY monthly bandwidth at my isp (which BTW I don't notice Carole, or Hostigation, or Go-Mama offering to PAY for) to download numerous invalid emails from gmail to windows live every single day for almost a month now.
